TUCSON PRECISION PRODUCTS EARNS ISO 9002 CERTIFICATION
Tucson Precision Products, a
manufacturer of precision diecastings for the small engine, automotive and
electronics industries, has been awarded ISO 9002 certification.
Tucson Precision Products (TPP) is a partnership of Tucson-based Walbro Engine
Management, a major manufacturer of carburetors and ignition systems for outdoor
power equipment, and Iwaki Diecast Company, a leading Japanese diecaster.
Established in 1995, TPPs facility utilizes highly automated manufacturing
techniques including advanced robotic systems.
"TPP's ISO 9002 certification is the result of nearly three years of effort,
combined with a great deal of teamwork and discipline. We are proud of our team

ISO 9002 is a comprehensive, world-wide quality standard that covers virtually
every aspect of a company's performance. Each activity is documented, from the
time an order is taken through the manufacturing process and delivery. Incoming
materials are carefully documented and every product can be traced throughout
the manufacturing sequence. Each employee's responsibilities are defined in
writing with detailed work instructions. Purchasing, training, service and
corrective actions are also documented.
