WALBRO'S JAPANESE
OPERATIONS EARN TWO ISO CERTIFICATIONS
Walbro Japan's
operations have been awarded two ISO certifications. Walbro Japan is a
subsidiary of Walbro Engine Management.
Walbro Japan's Miyagi manufacturing facility has been awarded ISO
14001:1996 certification. This certification verifies that the facility
has implemented an effective environmental management system that
encompasses air, water and ground emissions and meets all applicable
environmental standards.
Walbro Japan has also earned ISO 9001:2000 certification covering the
Miyagi plant and Walbro Japan's administrative offices in Tokyo. ISO
9001:2000 certification is a comprehensive standard that enhances a
company's ability to provide improved overall service through a
systematic focus on customer issues with thorough management involvement
in all processes. This certification applies to all products
manufactured by Walbro Japan.
"ISO 14001:1996 certification reflects Walbro Engine Management's
dedication to protecting the environment," said Andrew V. Masterman,
President, Walbro Engine Management. "The ISO 9001:2000 certification
demonstrates the ability of the Miyagi facility to deliver, in an
efficient manner, high quality products that meet our customers' most
stringent requirements."
"These two certifications are the culmination of over 12 months of
effort put forth by the Miyagi team, with a strong effort and focus at
every level of the organization," said Tokihiko Hasuo, President, Walbro
Japan.
